These ratings are posted as teams play in tournaments sanctions by any of the supporting organizations. If your team's ratings have not appeared within 30 days of playing, please contact the organization that sanctioned the tournament in which your team competed (managers only). If managers have a question about their team or other teams, please contact the organization in which you competed or call the Ratings Coordinator at (916) 326-5303.

Winning Teams Moving up in Ratings for 2008
According to an agreement between the 10 National Softball Associations, teams winning first place in divisions of more than 2 teams in any of the 10 National Association final championships are moved up in rating for the next season.
Teams winning in divisions of between 3-5 teams may appeal their rating after playing in three tournaments at their new rating. There is no appeal for the 2008 season for teams that won a National Final in divisions of 6 or more teams.
Teams are considered the same team regardless of name if they retain 6 or more players from the winning team – even if the team "ages up".
Teams winning the Huntsman Games do not automatically move up because the association allows open rosters.
New teams (with new players) begin the season as AAA teams.
Teams with new names, or combined teams, are rated according to the ratings of the teams from which the players formerly played in previous seasons.
The National Ratings Committee also raises or lowers team ratings based on their scores versus teams in the same skill category. Teams are welcome to appeal their ratings, but must submit the results of at least three tournaments.
Please note that the first priority of the National Ratings Committee is protecting the teams in a skill division. That means teams appealing their ratings must not be too strong to remain in a skill rating. For example, if a team being moved to Major from AAA is consistently losing to teams in the Major division, but is beating AAA teams by significant margins, the team will not be lowered to AAA.

The National Senior Softball Summit approved a National Combined Senior Softball Rating System in its annual meeting in Marietta, Georgia, in February 2000.
This website represents the combined ratings that are supported by all nine national softball organizations.
If you have a question regarding the ratings, changes in team names, disbanded teams, or teams that have moved up in age group, or information concerning a team's ratings, you can contact any of the three members of the Ratings Committee listed on the appeals form.
