Women's Advisory Council Accomplishments and Recommendations
January 14, 2006

Accomplishments

» ID cards were provided to Advisory Council members for identification at tournaments

» Hall of Fame packages were started for 2 women in the Pioneer category (Kay Ray and Ruby Wise)

» Connie Byro was elected and took over as the new Vice Chair. She will become the Chair at the next Summit meeting.

Recommendations

» Layla Bryan will review Hall of Fame guidelines for women players, and she will provide these to the Advisory Council and Ridge Hooks.

» Need to have Hall of Fame information available to teams/players at each World Tournament awarding eligible points.

» Advisory Council provides women's tournament lists to team/players through web sites and distributing handouts at tournaments.

» Connie Byro will provide information posters of council members (names and pictures) to all council members. These will be displayed at as many tournaments as possible to get information to the players about how to get feedback on issues to the council.

» The Advisory Council provides a list of recommended women's rules for all organizations. A comparison chart of all organizations' rules will be attached to the end of the rules.

» The Council will look for feedback on equalizer rules from team/players before recommending changes. A survey committee was formed to coordinate surveys that go out to womenıs teams.

» The flip-flop rule must be discussed in managers' meetings and must be used consistently if at all.

» The Council recommends more variety in prizes rather than just rings in all 'ring' tournaments (jackets, watches, money, credits).
