Survey 2003

Number of responses (location, date):
104 (Las Vegas, April)
+ 60 (Palm Springs, April)
+ 55 (Penn Hills, July)
+ 397 (Gallatin, September)
--------------------
= 164 Western Responses and 452 Eastern Responses
= 616 Total Responses

1. What count would you like to start with when you come to the plate as a batter?

0-0: 91 + 54 + 42 + 233 = 420 responses
1-1: 6 + 2 + 1 + 160 = 169 responses
Don't care: 6 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 13 responses

2. What number of defensive players would you like to see in the 50+ division?
Note: the results of this question were deemed to be questionable because many respondents misunderstood the question.

10: 66 + 33 + 7 + 47 = 153 responses
11: 28 + 19 + 27 + 265 = 339 responses
Don't care: 4 + 3 + 11 + 85 = 103 responses

3. What type of game controlling run rules would you prefer?

Mercy rule (such as 20 after 4, 15 after 5, etc.): 12 + 19 + 48 + 335 = 414 responses

5 run limit per inning, except last inning: 33 + 29 + 4 + 38 = 104 responses

Both: 58 + 11 + 1 + 11 = 81 responses

Neither: 1 + 1 + 2 + 13 = 17 responses
